The practice will now ask your child (13 – 16 year olds) for their consent to share their medical record with parents/guardians, including test results such as blood tests or X-rays.
During the course of any consultation, the GP/Nurse will assess anyone between 13 and 16 to ensure they are capable of either giving or declining consent. It will be recorded in the records of the patient. This is ONLY valid for that consultation and they will be asked each time they visit.
