Cervical Screening is carried out to check the health of your cervix, it is not a test for cancer, it’s a test to help prevent cancer.
All women and people with a cervix aged 25 – 64 should go for regular cervical screening. You’ll get a letter in the post inviting you to make an appointment.
The test itself should take less than 5 minutes and is usually done by a female nurse or doctor.

To self refer to physiotherapy, you can speak to one of our receptionists at the desk.
You will be given a form to complete which asks for details of the problem you are experiencing.
The form will then be triaged by the physiotherapy department who will then offer you an appointment if it’s deemed appropriate.
You don’t need a GP appointment to book an appointment with a physiotherapist.
If you have a musculoskeletal problem (pain/discomfort affecting your muscles, ligaments and tendons or bones) and you think you would benefit from seeing a physiotherapist, you can book this direct.
You fill in a form stating what the problem is and this is triaged by the physio department and they will offer you an appointment if appropriate.
